NHL Trade 2026: Washington Capitals Acquire Jordan Kyrou From St. Louis Blues in Blockbuster Deal
India, June 24 -- The Stanley Cup may be done, but the NHL offseason is just getting started, and the trade market is already heating up. One of the biggest moves so far came Tuesday, when the Washington Capitals landed Jordan Kyrou from the St. Louis Blues, finally ending the trade chatter that had followed the winger for months.
In return, the Capitals sent Connor McMichael, prospect Milton Gastrin and Washington's 2026 first-round pick, No. 16 overall, to St. Louis. Kyrou now heads to Washington as the Capitals add another proven scoring option, while the Blues walk away with a young NHL forward, a prospect and another first-round asset ahead of the draft.
