India, Sept. 5 -- Brazilian forward Neymar has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 muscle injury in his right thigh and is set to miss at least a month of competitive action for Santos in September 2026.

Following in-depth clinical evaluations and imaging scans conducted by the club medical staff, Santos confirmed that the 34-year-old attacker sustained significant muscle damage during their Copa do Brasil quarterfinal second-leg clash against Palmeiras.

The injury occurred late in the first half at Vila Belmiro when Neymar attempted a left-footed strike from outside the penalty area under defensive pressure.
