India, Sept. 29 -- The Reserve Bank of India's new Foreign Exchange Management regulations for exports and imports will come into effect from October 1, 2026. The new framework is designed to simplify cross-border trade compliance while increasing digital reporting and monitoring through authorised dealer banks.
The Foreign Exchange Management (Export and Import of Goods and Services) Regulations, 2026 were notified by the RBI in January and will replace the existing export-import framework. The new rules cover goods, services, software, and merchanting trade transactions.
