India, Aug. 11 -- Total Solar Eclipse 2026 New Jersey: The August afternoon sky over New Jersey will get a small but noticeable interruption on Wednesday, August 12, when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun. Unlike the dramatic totality visible across Greenland, Iceland and Spain, the Garden State will remain outside the narrow path of totality and will see only a partial solar eclipse. Depending on the location, the Moon will cover roughly 7% to 15% of the Sun, with the strongest coverage in parts of southern New Jersey.
