India, Aug. 31 -- Nepal put on a sensational bowling masterclass in their opening match of the ACC Men's Premier Cup 2026 in Malaysia, bundling out Bahrain for just 87 runs in 36.2 overs at the YSD-UKM Cricket Oval in Bangi on Monday, August 31.

Invited to field first after losing the toss, the Nepali bowling attack wasted no time asserting dominance. Opening bowler Karan KC put early pressure on the batting lineup by striking twice in the powerplay, removing Bahrain captain Asif Ali and top-scorer Fiaz Ahmed.

Making an impressive return to the side as captain, star leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane completely tore through the lineup, delivering a magical 10-over spell that yielded 5 wickets for just 14 runs, including four maidens.
