India, Aug. 30 -- Nepal is facing a major humanitarian crisis after devastating flash floods and mudslides swept through several districts on August 26. Authorities said on Sunday that 734 people have died, while another 2,498 remain missing. The disaster has caused extensive destruction along the Trishuli River and severely affected communities near the Nepal-China border. Rescue operations are continuing, with thousands of people already evacuated or rescued from affected areas.
Foreign Nationals Among Those Missing
