India, Aug. 29 -- Nepal is facing another potential flood threat just days after a devastating flash flood killed hundreds of people across parts of the country. Chinese authorities have warned Nepal that a temporary lake formed upstream could potentially breach its natural barrier, creating another surge of water downstream.

The warning was communicated to Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs after Chinese authorities noticed changes in the appearance of the newly formed lake. One of the key observations was that the water was becoming progressively darker.
