India, July 30 -- Neeraj Chopra is all set to make his long-awaited return to the Commonwealth Games as he begins his quest for a second gold medal in the men's javelin throw at Glasgow 2026. The Indian superstar, who won gold at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, missed Birmingham 2022 due to injury and now returns determined to reclaim the title.

Neeraj will compete in the qualification round alongside fellow Indians Rohit Yadav and Yash Vir Singh. A total of 18 athletes from 14 countries are in the competition, with the automatic qualification mark set at 84.00 metres. Any athlete achieving that distance will progress directly to the final, while the remaining places will be decided based on the best throws.
