India, July 29 -- Draymond Green will remain with the Golden State Warriors after agreeing to a one-year, $27.7 million contract extension, according to reports, citing Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul. The new deal ensures the veteran forward continues his long association with the franchise, where he has spent his entire NBA career.

Green had previously opted out of his 2026-27 player option, which carried the same salary, to provide the Warriors with greater financial flexibility during the offseason. The move was widely viewed as an effort to help the organisation explore a potential pursuit of LeBron James, before Green ultimately committed to a new one-year agreement with Golden State.
