India, Oct. 8 -- Veteran actor Nana Patekar died at the age of 75 on Thursday, October 8, after suffering a cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa. In the hours before his death, the actor had messaged a friend saying that he was not feeling well. The message, sent at around 2:30 AM, was not seen immediately as it was late at night. By the time the friend reached Nana's residence around 4 am, the actor's condition had deteriorated.

Nana was later taken to Manipal Hospital where doctors tried to revive him for several minutes. Dr Shekhar Salkar, Chief of the Oncology Department at Manipal Hospital, has shared details with ANI of what happened during the actor's final hours.
