India, June 22 -- The latest Maharashtra Legislative Council election results have once again highlighted the strength of the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance in the state's local political landscape. The election body has declared the results of 17 seats in the Local Authorities Constituency elections held on June 18. The results show the sheer dominance of Mahayuti in the state.

The polling recorded an impressive average voter turnout of 99.02 per cent, reflecting high participation from elected representatives across municipal corporations, councils, nagar panchayats, zilla parishads, and panchayat samitis.
