India, July 13 -- A suspected improvised explosive device (IED) blast targeting an Assam Rifles vehicle in Nagaland's Sukhovi area on Monday killed one soldier and injured four others, prompting a large-scale search operation by security forces.

The explosion has once again brought security concerns in the Northeast into focus, coming just a week after another deadly attack on Assam Rifles personnel in neighbouring Manipur.
