India, May 29 -- Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya has moved the Delhi High Court against what his legal team described as the "systematic misuse" of his identity across online platforms, including AI-generated videos, deepfake clips, pornographic material and defamatory content circulating on the internet. On Friday, the High Court issued a summons in the matter while observing that public figures may be subject to public scrutiny, but such exposure "has its limitations."

Justice Jyoti Singh, who heard the matter, also indicated that the court may pass an interim order to protect the actor's personality and publicity rights as the case proceeds further. The next hearing has been scheduled for September 30.
