India, June 25 -- Francesco Bagnaia's MotoGP future is now locked in, with Aprilia confirming that the Italian star will join the factory team from 2027 on a four-year deal. The move will see Bagnaia leave Ducati and step into Aprilia's lineup at the start of the sport's new 850cc era, where he will partner fellow Italian Marco Bezzecchi on the RS-GP.
The signing also completes an all-Italian rider pairing for the Noale-based manufacturer and adds another major twist to MotoGP's transfer shuffle. Bagnaia comes in as Jorge Martin's replacement, and the announcement lands just as the rider market has started moving again following last week's long-term agreement between the factories and series organisers.
