India, Sept. 15 -- Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky returned to the US Senate on Monday for the first time in three months, appearing noticeably more frail after a fall at his Washington home in June that led to hospitalisation, a bout of pneumonia and an extended period of rehabilitation. The 84-year-old Republican, a former Senate majority leader, addressed reporters from a wheelchair outside the Senate chamber ahead of casting his first vote since 11 June, joking about the uncertainty over how many journalists would turn out after years of avoiding their questions.
