India, June 27 -- Gracie the giraffe was found safe and healthy on June 26, 2026, after wandering the rugged Texas Hill Country for nearly two weeks. The search for Gracie the giraffe became a national fixation due to the extreme difficulty of tracking a 10-to-11-foot animal through the dense Texas landscape, alongside the unique logistical challenges of her ongoing recovery.

Missing Gracie Giraffe Found

The Gracie Giraffe was spotted on private land about 4 miles south of her home. She was located during an aerial search using a helicopter.

Real County Sheriff Nathan T. Johnson reported she was found "fat and happy" with plenty of local vegetation to eat.
