India, Sept. 2 -- The Movie is gearing up for a strong opening weekend at the box office. Film trade expert Girish Wankhede predicted that the much-anticipated theatrical adaptation could earn around Rs 50 crore over its opening weekend.

Speaking to NDTV, Wankhede said the film's advance bookings were looking "above average" ahead of its theatrical release. He estimated that the Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal-starrer could collect between Rs 12 crore and Rs 15 crore on its opening day. The overall opening weekend performance will depend majorly on audience response and word of mouth.
