India, July 1 -- Mexico vs Ecuador Weather Live: A lightning storm in the area has postponed the Round of 32 FIFA World Cup 2026 match between Mexico and Ecuador on Tuesday in Mexico City. The postponement was officially made public approximately an hour before the scheduled game. The match was planned to commence at 7 PM CST (Local Time) at the Estadio Azteca. How long the postponement will last is not yet clear; however, the authorities are waiting for the lightning flashes and thunderstorms to subside. Earlier in the World Cup, a group stage match between France and Iraq in Philadelphia was interrupted after halftime for two hours due to lightning and heavy rain.
