India, Sept. 4 -- Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh's Cold War-set buddy comedy Mayday has landed on Apple TV to a broadly favourable critical reception, with reviewers singling out the unlikely chemistry between its two leads even as some questioned whether the film's comedy lives up to its action.

The film, produced by Apple Studios and Skydance Media, is directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the pair behind Game Night and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It began streaming on Apple TV on 4 September and is rated PG-13 with a running time of one hour and 50 minutes, the outlet reported.
