India, Sept. 15 -- Max Verstappen is stepping away from the usual Formula 1 setting for a rather unusual challenge at Silverstone, where the four-time world champion will attempt to race past 100 drivers in just 30 laps. The event gives Verstappen a chance to revisit the karting world that shaped his early career. He first got behind the wheel of a kart at just four years old and began competing by seven, before eventually making his Formula 1 debut and spending the past 11 years at the pinnacle of motorsport.

Organised by Red Bull, Max vs 100 will bring together amateur drivers from social media, television and the sporting world for a one-off go-kart showdown. Verstappen will start at the very back of the grid, with all 100 competitors...
