India, Sept. 25 -- After losing his men's doubles Round 2 match with Manush Shah against Japan's Tomokazu Harimoto and Hiroto Shinozuka, Manav Thakkar returns to the table for his men's singles Round of 32 clash against DPR Korea's U Tae Ryong at the Asian Games 2026 at the SKY HALL TOYOTA in Toyota, Japan.

The 26-year-old Thakkar lost the men's doubles match 1-3 to the Japanese pair going down 7-11, 9-11, 11-7, 6-11. Now he begins his individual campaign against U Tae Ryong, who represents DPR Korea. He defeated Tologonov Nuradil in the first round.
