India, July 26 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued fresh rain alerts for Maharashtra, with heavy to very heavy rainfall expected in several districts on Saturday. While Mumbai and Palghar are likely to receive moderate showers, Raigad, Ratnagiri and the ghat areas of Pune could witness intense rainfall, thunderstorms and gusty winds.

The IMD has placed several districts under weather alerts, issuing an orange alert for Raigad and Ratnagiri and a yellow alert for Thane and Sindhudurg. Mumbai and Palghar are expected to continue receiving moderate rainfall.
