India, Aug. 24 -- The teaser of Mahakali, the upcoming mythological action film from the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), is out. It promises a fresh take on one of Indian mythology's greatest conflicts, the battle between the Devas and Asuras. Instead of presenting the Asuras just as the forces of evil, the teaser attempts to explore their side of the story. It raises questions about the events surrounding the Samudra Manthan, the distribution of Amrit and the Asuras' struggle for power.

The film is helmed by Puja Aparna Kolluru. Prasanth Varma is serving as the creator of the cinematic universe. Mahakali follows Hanu-Man as another mythology-inspired chapter of the PVCU.
