India, June 23 -- The M62 highway is facing severe delays on Tuesday after a broken-down vehicle disrupted traffic near Junction 18 eastbound, causing congestion on one of the motorway's busiest stretches. Traffic monitoring services have also reported delays linked to a vehicle recovery operation between Junctions 26 and 27 eastbound.

The disruption is affecting motorists travelling through parts of Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire, while congestion has also been reported on connecting routes, including the M66 southbound exit towards the M60 and M62.

The M62 is a vital transport corridor linking major cities across northern England, including Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and Hull.
