India, Oct. 22 -- A morning journey through Kent turned difficult for motorists after a van fire forced a closure on the M26 near the M25 and A21 junctions. The incident disrupted traffic between the M20 and the M25, while smoke from the burning vehicle also affected drivers travelling in the opposite direction.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service sent two fire engines to extinguish the flames, and National Highways traffic officers helped manage the disruption. Although firefighters put out the blaze and no injuries were reported, the westbound closure continued, leaving drivers facing queues and uncertainty over when they could resume their journeys.
