India, July 14 -- The drivers who are traveling on the M1 road now are undergoing great disruptions due to several ongoing schemes for maintenance and upgrading of the motorway. Many carriageways, slip roads and lanes are closed in order to improve the traffic flow along the M1 between Junctions 18 and 40, but there are also several disruptions on associated motorways such as the M25. The M1 extends over about 193 miles (311 km) and in some parts of the road there are over 130,000 vehicles per day.
