India, Aug. 23 -- The second and final lunar eclipse of 2026 will take place on August 28, but skywatchers in India will not be able to see the event. According to NASA, it will be a deep partial lunar eclipse, with about 96% of the Moon's disk entering Earth's umbra at maximum eclipse.

The eclipse will be visible from parts of the Americas, western Europe and western Africa, while India and much of Asia will remain outside the visibility zone.
