India, Nov. 7 -- Luka Doncic continued his remarkable scoring run in the 2026-27 NBA season, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 124-118 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday with an impressive 53-point performance. The Slovenian superstar has now registered at least 40 points in four consecutive games, becoming the first Lakers player to achieve the feat since Kobe Bryant accomplished it in 2012. Doncic has already recorded six 40-point games this season, while Friday's outing marked the 11th 50-point performance of his NBA career. With that achievement, he moved ahead of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Allen Iverson to claim 10th place on the league's all-time list for 50-point games.
