India, April 1 -- The Delhi Capitals started off their campaign in the 19th season of the Indian Premier League with a win. The Axar Patel-led side defeated Lucknow Super Giants by six wickets with 17 balls to spare. The bowlers from DC led the charge in the first innings, bowling out their opponents for 141.

However, the pacers from LSG almost got their team back in the game. Mohammed Shami, Prince Yadav, and Mohsin Khan were spot-on in the power play. The three pacers had reduced DC to 26 for four but could not pick another wicket as Sameer Rizvi with 70 and Tristan Stubbs with 39 led the Capitals to a victory in the 18th over.
