India, Oct. 14 -- The Los Angeles Rams have made a change at kicker after their 37-34 overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills.

The team is releasing Harrison Mevis and signing Blake Grupe from the New York Jets' practice squad, according to ESPN.

Mevis' costly misses proved decisive in a game the Rams had a chance to win. The move gives Los Angeles a new option at kicker as it looks to fix a problem that has hurt the team early in the season.

The #Rams are moving on from K Harrison Mevis, per me and @MikeGarafolo, as coach Sean McVay authors a special teams shakeup. They are signing Blake Grupe off the #Jets practice squad. https://t.co/6qvMnb0W9b
