India, Oct. 5 -- London was hit by a major power cut on Monday, October 5, with thousands of homes and businesses temporarily losing electricity across parts of the capital. According to reports, the power went out around 10:30 am after a problem occurred in an underground electricity network in the Shoreditch area. 32 Postcode areas were affected, while transport facilities, including Liverpool Street station, also experienced disruption.
