India, Aug. 3 -- Datia By-Election Result 2026 LIVE Update: Congress candidate Ghanshyam Singh has won the Datia Assembly by-election in Madhya Pradesh. According to the Election Commission of India (ECI) results, Ghanshyam Singh secured 66,757 votes and defeated BJP candidate Ashutosh Tiwari, who received 60,741 votes. Ghanshyam Singh won the seat with a victory margin of 6,016 votes.

The Datia Assembly constituency witnessed a close contest between the ruling BJP and opposition Congress. After 15 rounds of counting, Congress' Ghanshyam Singh emerged victorious, while BJP's Ashutosh Tiwari finished as the runner-up.
