India, Sept. 12 -- For Grammy-winning rapper Lil Durk, the verdict brought a major legal victory after weeks of intense courtroom proceedings in Los Angeles. A federal jury on Friday found the Chicago rapper not guilty of all charges in a murder-for-hire case linked to the 2022 killing of Saviay'a Robinson, the cousin of rapper Quando Rondo. The jury reached its decision after three days of deliberations.
Durk, whose real name is Durk Banks, had faced allegations that he helped arrange and finance a revenge attack aimed at Rondo. Prosecutors said the alleged plot grew out of the 2020 killing of Durk's close friend and fellow rapper Dayvon "King Von" Bennett.
