India, July 18 -- BBC presenter Lauren Laverne has shared another personal health update, revealing that doctors have diagnosed her with smouldering myeloma, a rare blood and bone marrow disorder that can develop into blood cancer in some cases. The 48-year-old broadcaster announced the news through social media, explaining that she currently has no symptoms, does not need treatment and expects to return to work after a short break.

Her announcement comes nearly two years after she revealed she had successfully recovered from cancer.
