India, Sept. 7 -- The holiday of Labor Day 2026 will be celebrated on Monday, September 7, providing Americans with their last long weekend of the summer season. Banks, government institutions and the US Stock Exchange would honour the federal holiday and however, the picture would be quite opposite for shoppers in most leading retail stores.

The majority of big stores and supermarket chains are likely to be open on Labor Day weekend and many would even use this holiday weekend to run promotions and discounts however store hours would vary depending on location, especially in case of retailers within the shopping center. An exception to this rule would be made only by Costco.
