India, Sept. 29 -- Rockstar Games has yet to officially announce a sequel to L.A. Noire, but fresh online speculation has once again brought the detective franchise into the spotlight. The claims suggest that a possible sequel could move the series from 1940s Los Angeles to San Francisco and feature a story inspired by the infamous Zodiac Killer investigation.

However, there is currently no official confirmation from Rockstar Games that L.A. Noire 2 is in development, and the reported 2030 release window should also be treated as speculation.

Rockstar is currently preparing for the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, which is officially scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
