India, Sept. 29 -- South Korea's benchmark KOSPI index declined on September 29, extending losses from the previous session as investors remained cautious amid geopolitical tensions, higher oil prices, and rising US Treasury yields. Foreign investors also remained active sellers in the market.

The KOSPI opened at 6,844.41, down from the previous close of 6,889.74. The index later touched an intraday high of 6,898.36 and a low of 6,809.89, before closing at 6,812.65, down 1.10%.
