India, Oct. 6 -- South Korean shares came under pressure as investors locked in gains after the recent rally, with the KOSPI moving lower despite a record close for the Nasdaq. Rising global bond yields also kept investors cautious about the outlook for interest rates.

The benchmark index had climbed sharply in recent weeks and remained close to the 7,000-point level, supported by strength in technology stocks and optimism around semiconductor demand.
