India, July 27 -- One of the most influential figures behind King Charles III's reign is preparing to leave Buckingham Palace. Sir Clive Alderton, the King's principal private secretary and closest senior adviser, has announced that he will step down from his role in May 2027 after completing 20 years of service to the Royal Household.
