India, Aug. 4 -- Kerala School Holiday Today (August 04): The incessant rain brought about by monsoons is causing major hindrances in the lives of the people of Kerala, thus leading the administration of several districts to halt classes in many educational institutions on August 04. Following warnings of heavy rainfall, strong winds and chances of floods and landslides, the administrators have made it their priority to ensure the safety of the citizens in light of IMD's predictions. The state of Kerala sees an average rainfall of 3,000 mm per year, with around 70% contributed by the southwest monsoon rains.
