India, Aug. 1 -- Heavy rainfall has caused landslides, flash floods and major waterlogging in many parts of Kerala. According to the state government, at least six people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents, while rescue teams continue searching for six others reported missing. Regions that faced severe impacts include Idukki, Kottayam and Pathanamthitta, which experienced swollen rivers, damaged roads and inundated areas. Authorities have also set up 65 camps, taking in about 1,500 locally displaced inhabitants as rain continues to beat the state.
