India, April 8 -- With the Kerala Assembly Election 2026 scheduled for April 9, 2026, the Kerala government has declared a public holiday across the state to facilitate voting. The decision affects several services including banks, government offices, schools, and many commercial establishments as citizens prepare to vote for 140 constituencies in the Kerala Legislative Assembly.
