India, June 12 -- Katy Perry might just be about to give FIFA World Cup 2026 fans a surprise. The pop superstar recently revealed that she will perform at the tournament's United States opening ceremony. Perry has revealed that she will be performing a "special" song she has never sung live before.

Speaking to People at the Tribeca Festival premiere of her concert film Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour - Live from Paris, the singer teased a special moment in her set.

"It's very fitting for the ceremonial song that I get to sing," she said about the mystery track.

But before fans could start guessing whether it's a brand-new release, Perry clarified, "And it's not new. It's off of one of my records, and I'm very excited to perform it."
