India, June 30 -- Kathie Lee Gifford is opening up about one of the toughest chapters of her life. The television icon recently talked about a difficult year marked by multiple injuries, surgeries and chronic pain that left her wondering if she would ever feel like herself again.

Speaking to People, the 72-year-old shared how one health setback seemed to lead to another. After undergoing a total hip replacement last year, Gifford accidentally fractured it again while trying to play with her grandchildren which meant another surgery. Not long after, she broke her arm after rolling over on it while sleeping.
