India, July 27 -- Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is dealing with a family emergency after his wife, Mia Bieniemy, was reportedly shot at the couple's home in Virginia while he was away attending the team's training camp in Missouri. The incident took place on Sunday night as the Chiefs continued preparations for the 2026-27 NFL season at Missouri Western State.

According to reports, 57-year-old Mia Bieniemy was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following the shooting. Authorities in Loudoun County confirmed that one person was being treated for severe injuries but did not publicly identify the victim.
