India, June 21 -- As lakhs of devotees prepare to gather on Nilachal Hill in Assam, the ancient Kamakhya Temple is gearing up for one of India's most distinctive spiritual events: the Ambubachi Mela. Scheduled from June 22 to June 26, the annual festival is deeply rooted in India's Tantric and Shakta traditions, celebrating the divine feminine in its most natural and powerful form.

Addressing a press conference within the temple premises, temple chief Doloi Kabindra Prasad Sharma outlined the extensive preparations for the Ambubachi Mahayog and explained the significance of the event, which attracts devotees, sadhus, spiritual seekers, and pilgrims from across the country and abroad.
