India, July 1 -- Schools across India have reopened after the summer vacations. This July, schools in many states will observe Rath Yatra and Guru Purnima. There is also a likelihood of monsoon holidays in flood prone states.

Important Dates

During July, there are no major national school holidays as it falls right after the two month summer holidays. However some important dates for this month include Rath Yatra/Narela (16th July, 2026), Kharchi Puja (21st July, 2026) Guru Purnima (29th July, 2026) and Shaheed Udham Singh Martyrdom Day (31st July, 2026).

Devshayani Ekadashi and Ashadha Amavasya also fall during this month, but their observance is relatively limited as compared to the other important occasions.
