India, Aug. 7 -- US District Judge Roy Altman granted Donald Trump an eleventh-hour reprieve on Thursday, temporarily blocking the BBC from obtaining detailed records on the finances and ownership of his business empire as part of his $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the British broadcaster.

The emergency stay, granted in Miami federal court, paused a looming deadline that would have forced the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust to turn over tax returns, financial statements and ownership records for roughly 400 corporate entities, according to CNBC.
