India, May 29 -- Hollywood actor Johnny Depp has reportedly found himself at the centre of an international financial fraud investigation after authorities uncovered what is being described as a large-scale credit card scam involving hundreds of suspicious transactions. According to multiple reports emerging from Hungary, unauthorised charges worth more than $690,000, nearly Rs 7 crore, were allegedly made using the actor's American Express card over a period stretching from early 2024 to late 2025. The case has now triggered widespread online discussion after dramatic arrest videos from Budapest began circulating across social media platforms.
