Jason Arday: Former Cambridge Professor Found Dead Days After Resigning Amid Plagiarism Allegations
India, Aug. 15 -- Jason Arday, who became the youngest Black professor in Cambridge University's history, was found dead at a property in Battersea, south London, on Friday, just over a week after he resigned from his post amid mounting allegations of plagiarism and questions about his professional background.
The Metropolitan Police said officers were called by the London Ambulance Service at 3.12 pm to a report of a man found unresponsive inside a property, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not name Arday, though British media widely identified him as the man found dead, and officers said his death is being treated as "unexpected, but is not believed to be suspicious."
